I have the GREATEST friends! And...an NSV!

Let me just tell you about my Saturday. I was supposed to go to the Children's Museum with a friend from work and her son, but on Tuesday evening she emailed me and told me she had to cancel b/c her dad had fallen and broken his ribs and she had to go up this weekend to help him out. I was like that's fine, I understand. DH was supposed to have a one on one meeting at the house with a potential female client and he wanted to make sure I was there so we could go out to lunch afterwards and "do something together as a family" something he NEVER says so I should have had a clue then. To make a long story short, close to noon yesterday the doorbell rings and it's my 3 close "church" friends from down home! They drove 3 hours to surprise me with a small shower and take me out for the afternoon! They took me out to lunch and then we spent the rest of the afternoon shopping at the mall. It was a WONDERFUL way to spend a glorious Saturday afternoon. I have never been surprised like that in life before EVER! It was so nice. They truly are wonderful friends and I am very lucky to have them in my life. I didn't expect anyone to do anything like that at all, but most of my friends are waiting until after the baby is born to do anything like that since we don't know the sex. These gals brought me diapers, wipes, a toy, an outfit, and lotion products. It was so nice! I just can't get over how it all came together and who all was in on it. My friend from work was even in on it...her dad didn't fall and break his ribs (well he did, but a few years ago) so she was in on it too. And I NEVER suspected a thing!

My NSV?? Well, we went shopping at the mall and stopped in at Old Navy. I found these cute jeans on clearance that are non maternity. I went in to try them on thinking I wouldn't even get them up...and I DID!!! The only thing I couldn't do was button them (they didn't have a zipper)!!! Granted, they are a 14 and I was a comfy size 12 when I got pregnant, BUT I think just the fact that I got them up over my butt was a huge NSV!!! We also went to New York & Company and I found a pair of jeans there for $6 and tried those on and got them up too! So I guess all this 26# is all in my belly. I am sooo thrilled!!

This has been a big week and weekend in Amanda-land.

WE HAVE A GIRL'S NAME!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!

So, if this is a girl she will be named Alexis Rae and we will call her Lexi. My sister called me with the name Alexis and DH immediately said he liked it. The more I say it, the more I like it. The only problem is that DS name is Alexander and we call him Xander. So if this is a girl she will be Alexis. So both of my kids will have Alex as the first 4 letters of their name. Is that odd?? I mean we will sign cards DH, me, Xander & Lexi, so it's not like it would be OBVIOUS to anyone else. But I just love the name so I really don't care! Names are done so I feel SO MUCH BETTER!!! So we'll have either a Zac or a Lexi. WOO HOO!!!

Oh and I am 30 weeks today! I am hoping I only have a little over 8 weeks at this point. It seems now that the weeks are moving slower and slower. I guess b/c I'm just so excited, I don't know. I am getting ready to start getting stuff ready for DS bday party (April 5th) so maybe that will help time fly by a little faster. We'll see. :0)

I think that's all I have for today. It was a lot though! :) I hope everyone is doing well and having great OP days!
